"I took this camcorder/housing to Costa Rica diving in 2008 and have great underwater video of sharks, mantas, and octopus. There was surge and visability was not great and the still pictures were blurry; however, the video was pretty good. It was a good 'bang for the buck' as they say. If you don't want to spend a lot of money for an underwater video/housing system, this is a good little system. Lightweight and easy to use. The only bad part was the battery only lasted one dive and I had to have a spare battery charged and on-hand to change between dives. I also used it at an animal reserve. I would also say, the bad part about the camera is, as soon as you stop recording, it does not record the next item continuously, but makes separate AVI/MPEGs. Not a problem, but I don't know how to merge them into one continuous recording like the old HI8 tapes. I liked the system and will order the wide angle lens for it for my next trip."
