"This camera is terrific. It exceeds the spec sheet in some area while not all of the claims are accurate. It was hard to find data it prior to purchase so I will try to include some here. Dimentions are 4.5" x 2.5" x 1.5". It has an 8 MegPixel still picture setting, not just 5. The silicone skin looks like it will work well, although I have not tried it yet. The video looks really clear on our 52" screen. The battery life isn't very long (about an hour claimed by the manual), but since it takes standard mini USB it is easy to recharge (other mini USB cords for Cell phones such as car chargers, using the computer USB port, and we even went out and got an emergancy cell phone charger that takes AA if we want to charge it on the fly.) The zoom is rather slow to respond and it is only 3x so it isn't really its strong point anyway. Built in flash, and LED for video allows for night shots in both video and stills. I was trying to find out how much SD memory to buy and the manual has a template. It takes up to 32 GB SCHC, but a 4 GB card is as follows.

I did not opt for the 180' case, but the instrutional video makes it look pretty good. It also has lots of accessories available for diving, such as lights and a wide angle lens. The HDDV model that does not have digital image stabalization for stills as stated, but the manual for the standard DV model says it is on that one. So far, I am very happy with the purchase."
