"I used to design dishwashers for a competitor, Bosch was the standard for domestic kitchen dishwashers then and they still seem to be. While the Ascentia line is obviously a lower level with fewer features its far from a bare-bones model. It's quiet, it cleans well, it dries acceptably (always an issue with this type of design) and it was only a little more costly than the midrange models of the US Big Three appliance manufacturers. Those other dishwashers are mechanically the same as the cheapest models, just with a few more bells and whistles. I prefer the reliability and features of a stripped-down high end model like the Bosch Ascentia."
