"Got these as a present. I used to work in a recording studio and still do some music editing on the side. If you do not know music and electronic quality, and have no way to do direct A/B comparison of similar products, you may think these are OK... However, I still have a few Sennheiser and AKG phones and the BOSE just sound TERRIBLE. There is a lot of boost in pseudo bass and highs and colored mids to fool one's hearing of "quality" but these cannot produce any challenging music material. I would pay NOT to hear these horrible phones!! I first thought maybe I was being unfair, comparing these to my other much better sounding phones, but then I checked to see how much these were and these cost more than all the others!! Typical BOSE, poor quality at jacked up hype and price. Do some direct A/B comparisons with other well known brands with all music material in person before you even consider buying this terrible product!"

"I agree...figured these would sound as good as the on ear pair my wife bought me (when the covers of my SONY Studio monitors shredded) but these are A W F U L. I bought these for my Son and just had them replaced for $60.00 (out of warranty-but BOSE will exchange them for that much)...and gave them a listen. Painful. Even a cheap pair of SONY MDR-V100's out did them...Just A W F U L."
