Callaway Golf Big Bertha 2008 Review

These Irons Will Transform Your Game

"I hadn't golfed on a regular basis since I was 17. After moving to Hawaii, I (not surprisingly) caught the bug in late Summer 2008 but was relegated to the early 90's technology remaining in my bag. As you can imagine, my first couple of rounds were not pretty. Now 32 and having moved back to NYC with a decent job, I decided to invest in a new set of irons that would dramtatically improve my game but wouldn't break the bank. After countless hours of internet research, conversations with so-called experts and most importantly, trying virtually every club in the ultra-competitive "super game inmprovement" category, the Big Bertha 2008's were standouts. After a few rounds, my game was completely transformed to the point that my buddies thought I was hustling them as they generously gave me strokes and proceeded to lose their shirts when we played. These clubs are solid as a rock, project high and straight, feel like butter on contact and are a good look in any bag. The I-Brids sometimes get a bad rap from Doubting Thomases because of their unique appearance, but from the outset, they gave me confidence at address. Better yet, I had long ago abandoned my 3 and 4 irons because they were autmotatic shanks. Not anymore! An easy swing and the ball is off like a rocket into orbit. My scores have improved some 15 strokes since Summer 2008 (granted, there was a lot of fat to lose!) and my goal is to be in the mid 80's by Summer 2009. If I'm not, the irons won't be the problem!"
