"15 yr computer tech veteran: Tried generic and non-Crucial RAM in a finnicky Dell. Comp wouldn't even accept the generic and had BSoD, reboots and other errors with the non-Crucial brand. Crucial replacement works great, but even going from 768 MB to 2 GB (system's max) did not show *much* improvement. And I've already replaced the 5400rpm drive with a nice 7200rpm with 16 MB cache. Just a slow computer. :(

Comp supports 3200 and didn't see that available until after the 2700 arrived. :("
