"We moved from an apartment with a dishwasher to a house that had none. BIG mistake. SO we finally bit the bullet and bought this Danby because of the reviews that were on it. I must say its quiet and most of the time gets the job done. I say most of the time because sometimes I get spray off of food on the top. I believe its because I put to many pots on the bottom and it cant get a proper spray to the top. I find when I only put one or two pots on the bottom with the rest of my plates, then its sparkling. From other reviews no one seems to ever have the spray off so I think Im loading wrong at times. I dont really like that it takes so long to do the dishes but I do put it on the extra dirty cycle just so I know it will come out clean. MIND you I havent tried the other ones so who knows. Probably just as good. My biggest issue is that there is no auto shut off button. I dont know if all portables are like that but it would be nice to put it on at night and wake up and not see that red light. I suggest doing the dishes not to late. In future I may like to have a bigger one as I have so many pots to clean all the time and for me bigger would be better. BUT all in all for what i have seen out there, this is very good value for the dollar [...] Ive seen bigger name brands and they either dont clean well, fall apart, or dont dry your dishes. This does it all and more. PLUS it is an energy saver so its a keeper."
