"This unit actually lives up to it's potential. So many units say they will cool a 400sq foot room & your lucky if it cools 200. This unit works great! I have it in the front area of my home. This area ia about 400sq feet & includes the kitchen. The room has strong exposure to the sun in the afternoon & is close to asphalt so it gets VERY hot. This unit has managed to keep it below 76 degrees even when I have the oven on. If you don't mind a little noise it is the best deal for the capacity & price without having to get special wiring put in."
