"The artist was at a recent art show in Austin, TX. I bought the fish for a friend of mine; he's planning on using it as a change holder. We didn't want to carry it around all day, so we dropped it off at another friend's booth, and suggested she use it as a tip jar. We ended up back at the artist's booth to buy more stuff and our other friend showed up to buy her own fish. Turns out people loved the fish as a tip jar and were more inclined to tip. We also ran into another couple at the show who had bought a fish and she was planning on putting potpourri in it. This fish is great, with all kinds of uses, and I really wish I had bought one for me, too. I bought one of the Gnome-B-Gones, but I still really want a fish..."
