"I have both the Zumo 550 and TomTom Rider 2. Both are excellent motorcycle GPS units. The Zumo is a bit of a Cadillac, having a brighter display, bigger touch screen buttons for a gloved hand, and stereo audio mp3 playback (XM radio ability at extra cost). There is no provided Helmet headset with the Zumo so you won't hear the directions or music unless you already have one or buy one at extra cost. The Rider 2 is cheaper, just as functional GPS-wise, and comes with a Bluetooth wireless headset for your helmet (Scala Rider). Both units pair with a Bluetooth enabled phone (calls get routed to your headset). And besides A-to-B directional navigation, both units allow you to program your own custom touring routes. The Zumo provides the route-plan software in the box (and is better integrated), the Rider 2 requires the free Tyre program available on the internet. Both units come with motorcycle handle-bar mounting gear, and both have built-in rechargeable batteries but come with direct to motorcycle-battery cables, which is def the way to go. They're both very fun to use on sightseeing trips, especially when you've pre-programmed your route into them... takes all the work out of travel, leaving you free to enjoy the road."
