"It's winter here, so the most of what i have done on this beast is loops through downtown for an hour or so at a time. I intend to use this as a car replacement because of the rising cost of oil. This bike is lightweight for carrying on stairs or throwing on the front of a bus, it rides smooth, and looks dead sexy with a set of fenders.The problem with this bike is the amount of components you need to replace if you are "really" going to ride it. The entire drive train is bottom of the barrel shimano, alivio. Scrap the shifters, levers, and deraileurs for Deore LX if you really want a smooth and responsive shift on this bike. The grips are horrible, too if you have hands of any size...i am replacing them with kona jackshits when they come in the mail.All in all a great frame and bike for the price, drop another $200 into components for it and it will easily last a lifetime."
