"This was purchased for my West facing bedroom/computer room and it works great. The two reviews prior to mine are very well written and it is does produce only a slight amount of noise but not as much as expected for the cost.

After a week of 88 to 92 degree muggy weather I'm quite pleased with the job it is doing in this 13'x16' space. Perhaps the ceiling fan helps to distribute the air but regardless, it's working fine and the install was very straightforward.

The overload outlet plug supplied is a very nice feature though it's not been needed and my hopes are it won't be. It does not have remote control, which in my opinion allowed more money to go into making a better machine. So far, walking 16' to turn it on and off hasn't hurt me! The filter is directly in front for very easy removal for easy cleaning.

My rating is a 4 star as I have not owned it long enough to know how durable it really is."
