"We just bought a GE Microwave JES1139 model 2 weeks ago. Shortly after we brought it home and started using it, the door started becoming more and more difficult to open. At first, you press the button and the door pops open, then after a few times, you press the button and the door remains closed and does not pop open as it did earlier. It is now, after 2 weeks hardly ever popping open when the door latch is pressed and one has to press the latch AND pull on the door to get it to open. I threw away my receipt and now am stuck with an appliance which cost[$] and has a pretty major problem. Other than the latch problem, the oven works great."

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
