"After trying out the toothbrushes that are shaped like a mini toothbrush or gum massager, this is the way to go for first teeth at least til 14 months or more. We began using this at 7 months (brush only) then added the toothpaste part at about 9 months (or as recommended by your pediatrician.) Baby likes it enough to make a game of it. Very soft but effective. Paste tastes good. Durable. Have even given this as a gift for new moms! Simple inexpensive item that makes life much easier."
