"i recently upgraded from a giant cypress to the giant fcr3...this bike is RAD!!! its fast, its light, it shifts rather smoothly,its pretty comfortable, its under a thousand bucks...i have been gradually working my way up to a more road oriented bike...and this was the best next step up from a cypress or hybrid type bike...its perfect for commuting, fitness...i'm sure it would do just fine for a moderate distance ride..might not do so well on any type of off road....here's what i didn't like... i changed the pedals right off the bat...the stockies...were kind of plastic and bo-bo....i changed the grips out a week later ....the stock grips were killing my hands with the tingles and the numbness.....if you are switching from a hybrid or mountain bike...this bike will seem like a little bit of a bumpy ride at first....but i realized as i tested other bikes...if you don't have suspension....its going to feel a lot different....oh did i mention the [...]guys were great....i got mine at the beaverton store...the guy helped me for like an hour or so while i tried different bikes out..they were knowledgeable..and professional...i didn't feel like i offended the "bicycle gods" when i asked questions....so i say DO IT!!!....the fcr3 is awesome!!!"

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
