"With a record hot summer, I've used this pan on my gas cooktop so I don't have to use the oven. It's cooked eggs, seafood, chicken, pasta and veggies beautifully. Its large 12 inch size, heavy cooking surface and high sides allow me to carmelize over a high temperature, locking in flavor, then covering to cook quickly or braise.

Initially I was intimidated by this pan's weight, but it has a handle on the side to assist moving the pan from one to another burner with confidence.

Although it is dish-washer safe, I prefer to wash mine by hand, so I don't risk scratching that super, shiny finish. It only takes a paper towel, a little dish detergent and water to make it sparkle again.

I would compare the quality and finish of this pan to other professional style cookware. My next purchase will be a frypan for smaller meals."
