One year and 3 months after I purchased it the lower drive board blew out. Of course, the warranty was only 1 year. After I replaced the board, BOTH the upper and lower boards blew out 30 days later. My TV repairman states the plasma screen is defective and any cost of repair is greater than the price of the unit. Hitachi customer service is completely unsympathetic. I will not buy a Hitachi again."
