"No human eyes can tell the difference between 1080i and p. I have seen them side to side and there is no difference! While it is not bleeding edge, you will love this set. The picture is astounding and vivid. I hooked it up to regular rabit ears and it had no problem with local channels at 1st auto program. I paid $999.00 for this TV and got a great deal (after thanksgiving - black friday sale). The stand is fine when you consider the weight of the TV (100 lb) and works fine when you turn the TV. No one is going to turn this fast... due to size."
