HP LaserJet P2015DN Printer Review
Excellent printer for college dorm.

"I bought this printer several months ago for a college dormatory so me and my roommates could use. It is a very easy plug and play when installing on to a network. Originally I wanted to install the HP printer software, but unfortunately it is not Vista compatible. However, by holding the green [GO] button for 5 seconds, the printer prints a configuration page, so you can access it through your web browser and move on from there. Everything else is pretty simplistic. Adding the printer was just putting the IP address and getting the drivers (can use either Vista drivers or the ones on the disk).
The set up is so easy that my whole floor has access to the printer and can easily print without any hassles. Linux, Mac, or PC, all easy to install. (I don't mind of course)
Since the printer has become a workgroup printer for over 30 people, I'd say the tray is too small. I'd be happy to get the tray upgrade but that is all very expensive. I've never experienced with the default memory, as I have the 256MB upgrade to the max memory, so I have no memory issues. And remember to buy the RAM from a third party supplier, not HP (Their RAM is over priced, even though it assumes the warranty of the printer, but buying 5 sticks of third party is still cheaper than 1 stick of HP). The HP REt takes time to compress the print so less memory is used, but that disabled and the extra memory speeds the first page out very quickly."
