"I picked up one of these as it seemed to be a good alternative to the Porter Cable combo as I didn't need the nailers. I also have a friend who rehabs homes who has one and likes his.

First off, when I opened the box the entire top of the unit was covered in some type of sticky substance. I thought it may have been used and returned but all the factory cable ties were in place as were the carton staples. No big deal, I wiped it off, but when I got the hoses connected and fired it up, it ran for over 40 minutes without shutting off (the pressure was hovering around 130 PSI) and just as I thought it was reaching its high cut off the safety valve let go until the pressure dropped down to 40 PSI or so.

I thought it was just a fluke and let it run again, and the same thing happened.

I have no idea why it couldn't reach pressure and why the safety blew - it was hovering at 130 PSI for about fifteen minutes each time before the safety valve let go.

I might try another or I might just go for the Porter Cable nailer kit or Ridgid units and buy accessory inflation accessories.

I gave it two stars because, if it actually worked, it would be a great size unit and a nice form factor. I'm not willing to judge them all based on my experience but am now concerned about reliability."

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
