"I bought this about a year ago, but only put it up a few months ago. I am very surprised to read some of the other reviews, because we quite like this easel. I think it is a great product for the price. Mostly my kids have used it to paint on. We have had a [...] sized paper roll on it so maybe that helps to keep the kids from knocking it around. I occassionaly wash the paint off the white board side using diapering wipes. We have used it with Expo brand dry erase markers without any problems. My daughter who is 2yo uses the chalk side regularly, and I haven't noticed any problems with having to press hard. There were instructions to rub chalk over the entire surface before 1st use, which I did, so maybe that helped. I would have given this a 5 except that I would have like to have had the white board be magnetic, and also have a bar at the top to allow posters and felt board to hang and flip easily. But as I only paid [$] for it,how can I complain? Learning stores have much bigger (I consider the compact size a bonus for home use), much more expensive version (about 4-5x the price) for those that are interested in a "higher quality" product. As a bonus the kids loved helping to put it together. Oh yeah, I kind of scoffed at the clips that are included with the easel, but we use them all the time to hold our paper flat."
