"This unit DOES NOT have a battery, therefore it must be used inside of a vehicle or by 110 AC with the adapter. Very flimsy mounting bracket. Both power cords supplied with unit DO NOT fit snug enough into unit to keep constant power. Any little bump or even a slight touch of the power cord attachment to unit will cause a break in the power necessitating complete reprograming each time it turns itself off. Memory chip broke within the first 2 weeks. [...]"

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
