"My Roomba is so effective we call him "Robby" (it suits "him" somehow ;-). I had been mulling over getting a Roomba for about a year and found a remanufactured 410 model for a good price. "Robby" cleans my laminate & carpet floors very effectively. I own two very hairy dogs who shed alot and all my other vacuums never did well with pet hair. Robby's bin filled three times the first day I used him but after that he got into all the tight spots and only needs to be emptied once per session. I use him daily.

I am SERIOUSLY contemplating getting a Scooba to scrub after my Roomba is done vacuuming. I have recommended a Roomba to all my friends and the one's who have seen it in action are quite impressed. I wish the battery charge was a little longer though. Robby is quite capable of getting out of tough spots on carpet or behind furniture and has only tried to go downstairs once-he stopped after one wheel fell and gave the "uh oh" sound. Cute. My girlfriend was skeptical about the Roomba at first but now "talks" to him when he wanders into whatever room she is in ;-) My dogs dont seem to mind him in the least and my Labrador will even play "chicken" with him! I do truly enjoy using my Roomba 410! I can't wait to try other models!"
