"I bought this for my daugther for Christmas when she was 18 months old. She has always been small for her age so I was afraid she wouldn't be able to reach the pedals, but you can adjust the seat to slide forward (and then tigthen it in place with a screwdriver) and she had no problems reaching the pedals. She rides it throughout the house with no problems (we have wood floors) and she loves to ride it to the park. It comes already assembled and it folds up, not flat, but enough to move it out of the way if needed. The only problem would be the little basket on the back doesn't stay snapped too well. It isn't much of a problem, and it probably has a lot to do with her wanting to sit in there when I first got it, but children should'nt be in there anyways, she likes to keep her blanket or small dolls in there and ride around. Its a good first bicycle, although, I would get some type of padding to go on the first handlebars in case the child falls foward, its just an exposed metal front bar, and could be very possible to break a tooth."
