"I really like the extra smaller bowl and blade for lesser amounts--I use it for mincing garlic, chopping green onions, etc.

The motor is powerful enough that I recently shredded sweet potato for a soup recipe, something that would have jammed a machine with less power. I switched from Cuisinart (the old one was destroyed in Katrina) after reading reviews of their current line.

I think the 7 c capacity is quite adequate, but ours is a small household.
