"THIS IS NOT HOME DEPOT'S FAULT BUT I THINK HOME DEPOT NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT THE PRODUCTS THEY CARRY. WE WERE GIVEN ONE OF THESE FRIDGES IN LATE 2006 BY OUR CHILDREN. IT CAME WITH A ONE YEAR UNLIMITED WARRANTY WITH A 5 YEAR WARRANTY ON PARTS ONLY. IN LESS THAN 2 YEARS OF USE THE COMPRESSOR WENT OUT SO WE CONTACTED MAGIC CHEF ONLY TO FIND OUT THEY WOULD REPLACE THE COMPRESSOR FREE OF CHARGE BUT WE INDEED HAD TO PAY THE LABOR AT ONLY CERTAIN CERTIFIED COMPANIES. UPON CALLING THE NEAREST COMPANY WE WERE TOLD THAT THE LABOR WOULD BE MORE THAN THE FRIDGE AND IT WOULD BE IN OUR BEST INTEREST TO JUST BUY A NEW ONE. MAGIC CHEF AGREED AND SAID THEY WERE SORRY BUT THAT'S ALL THEY COULD DO I ASK ANY ONE WHO READS THIS. WHAT GOOD IS THAT FIVE YEAR WARRANTY?DO YOU WANT TO BUY ANYTHING WITH SUCH A WARRANTY?"
