"I bought this freezer for my garage because I like to shop at the warehouse stores and not worry about having to squeeze everything into my side by side freezer. After only a couple of months, the rubber seal began to grow black mold. I tried everything to get it off and it wouldnt work. Then just after two and a half years.....I went to grab some chicken and it was already defrosted!! Luckily I caught it before everything went bad!! A word to the wise, keep your receipts, according to the appliance repair guy it is the compressor and although there is only a one year warranty, there is a five year warranty on the compressor. However, you need to have the original receipt in order to verify the date purchase!! I dont, so I have to buy a new one, this time with the service plan from another store!! Good luck, and if you already bought one, keep your receipt in a safe place!!"

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
