Maytag 24" Front Load Washer w/ Front Controls and Stainless Steel Tub Review
"Let’s hope your machine won’t ever need to have a service call from Maytag / Whirlpool.
I bought my unit 10 months ago and it is already not working. It is still under the manufacture warranty, so I called to set up an appointment for service. And the nightmare starts there:
First, I was told that there isn’t any option for a more narrow window as when the serviceman to come, other than an 8 â€"" 5 all day appointment. I took a day off, waited all day. I called both Maytag and their contractor A & E Company through out the day to confirm that the appointment is still on. I was told the A & E rep that the service man HAS to finish all their work, even it is well past their appointment time. Only to turn out that someone from A & E call a whole hour after the latest time the serviceman should arrive for his appointment and said that he won’t be coming. There was no reason offer as why he is not coming. So, it is no concern to them that a customer took a day off, waited and wasted an entire day for nothing. My time is worth nothing, not to mention the rep from A&E was rude. And then, I was on the phone with Maytag since ultimately it is their customer service issue. The Maytag reps told me that there is nothing they can do but to reschedule me with this same company just screwed me over on the appointment and wasted my day. I told them how unhappy I am, and wasted so much time on the phone and persistent demand to speak to someone else, another rep came on. She told me that they can set me up with another company in Philly who can give me a more specific window and they usually provide good service. But why wasn’t that company offered at first place, especially I asked over and over again and was told that they can only do 8 â€"" 5.
How about have contract agreement with reliable company and not to screw your customers at the first place. It cost more the try to win back an unhappy customer than do it right first!!!
