"I am a serious hiker from the Northwest. I do alot of elevation gain on uneven terrain. This boot is very supportive and comfortable going up and down steep slopes. I have a wide foot, and this 10.5 Wide fits great! This is my second purchase. This boot is rated for backpacking, but makes a great hiking boot for steep trails."
