"I was pretty happy with this mouse for four years. It's light, glides very smoothly and fits my hand well.

The button clicks are audible but not loud, although the scroll wheel is a bit clunky sounding and louder than I would like. I've owned two of these and the scroll wheel on both did have discreet increments (other reviews seem to indicate that the scroll wheel doesn't "click" when scrolling, and is smooth).

Cons:

Sometimes, usually a few seconds after using it, the scroll wheel will send a spurious "scroll up" event to the computer. This is only a minor nuisance.

More importantly, on both of these that I've owned the left mouse button has slowly deteriorated. Single clicks will often be registered as double clicks. Holding the button down is often registered as many clicks. I've found that if I press the button close to the top edge of the mouse it works better--but that's not where my finger naturally rests. This is the reason I've stopped using this mouse."

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
