Best Basic GPS For the Price

"This is just a great basic GPS + that gets you from A to b with some nice features. You WILL NOT find a GPS with traffic for this price and all the other features for anywhere near this price. From where I live (a suburb of Atlanta,GA), it locks onto a satellite signal in 8 - 45 seconds. Calculation re-routes are fast and the traffic re-routing is a Godsend (especially here in Atlanta. I'd rather be in NY rush hour traffic than rush hour here, BIG-TIME). Traffic functional isn't available everywhere. Only in the places that have TMC (Traffic Message Channel)[...]lNow if your a road warrior and you need to know all the points of interest and you want internet, MP3, pictures or you can't deal with any menus that aren't simple enough for a 10 year old, this is not the GPS for you. If you just need something to get you here and there with traffic and some trip planning, this will probably be the least expensive option for you and it is very reliable. I had the previous model with no problems.You also have the option of getting FreshMaps and keeping your maps up to date every quarter. Freshmaps is for 3 years, where other manufacturers charge the same price for just 1 map update.The maps here are from Navteq which do have some minor mistakes (my street was spelled incorrectly), but at least you can report them and they will be updated in a later map release.Some other great features are:Reality View- you see what the upcoming exit looks likeLane Assistant Pro - Tell you which lanes you should be inPOIs - Certain Points of Interests (restaurants, gas stations, etc) appear on the map with the company logo, so it's really easy to see where the next place to eat is).Text To Speech - It speaks and tells you where to turn, on what street and where your final destination is (on the right, left).And finally, would I recommend it to a fried? I'm buying one for my dad and one for a friend..."
