Does what I need

"I am pleased with this treadmill. This is the first one I have ever owned. I was going to purchase one a few years ago, and my husband talked me into an elliptical machine. I couldn't ever use it because it was so hard to build up on, so it set there. I decided I was going to get what I initially set out for. I looked at the item online, and then went to the store to check it out. The salesman asked what we intended to do with it, run or walk. I wanted to at least walk but run if I wanted to. He told me that this treadmill would not work for a runner and that I would need to look at a Nordic Track. I was worried about spending this amount of money, and because I thought his remarks were based on commission, there was no way I was going to buy one of those right off the bat. So I went home and thought about it for a week. The next weekend, I ordered it online (because it was cheaper than in the store!??), and drove back to the store the same day to pick it up. I am tickled to death with it. I started jogging on it from the beginning. That was in February, this is the end of May, and I've ran on it, at most five times a week and at least two or three times a week since then. I was able to tell a difference in my body in a month. I've not lost weight. I have gained because of muscle. But I can definitely tell in my stomach, legs, and butt. The machine is still holding up. It does occasionally make some noises that make me wonder, but it's still going and was definitely worth the money. If it ever dies, I will consider a Nordic Track because it's been worth the investment. I've only used the pre-programmed workouts a time or two. They are good. Especially just starting out, they will kick your butt. Or they did mine! I had to work up to them to start, but then after running, I just like to run on it..so I skip the walking all together unless warming up or cooling down. I love the crosswalk arms. They are great! I don't think it's bad noisy either. I run a little after five o'clock in the morning, and my husband and two kids sleep through it, so...?? I also watch tv (across the room) and can hear it, and I use an mp3 player.



Also, I had read reviews about putting it together and it being a problem. I put most of it together myself..25 year old female about 150 pounds. I think it took about four hours, but I was doing a LOT of multitasking in between. I only needed help lifting the bottom part that you walk on up to mount it to the frame. It's heavy, so have someone help you bring it home. But I love it! Well worth it to me!!"
