"I have no idea what all the reviews saying the assembly is hard or difficult. I am inept at most things but I assembled this in about an hour BY MYSELF! The instructions were great and the only problem I had was moving it upstairs. This machine is HEAVY. The motor and belt are quiet. In the store the 1100 was the quietest of the floor models. At the price it's a great deal. I do have 3 minor complaints. The shelf used to place a book on covers the fan should you decide to read and walk. I also would have liked it to have the hand levers to work out your arms while walking. I just have to pretend I have them and move my arms instead. I don't think the Pulse readout is very accurate."

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
