"We needed a cable to take commands from our custom built joystick (analog) to our PC's USB port (digital). Use of the USB port was required because we have no gameport or intention of adding one.The cable was immediately recognized and worked perfectly! Shoppers beware: We bought a very similar-looking cable from Belkin but it did not have the switch and, we think, did not have any ability to convert from analog to digital. This OTHER cable was totally useless. [...]"
