"I purchased this conversion lens to use on a Canon HV30.The resolution is terrible- about a 25% reduction in center, a 4 to 5 pixel blur at edges.Severe vignetting, even with all adapters removed.Bad chromatic aboration.Need to use it with out the adapter rings. Result is that the back of the lens rubs against the HV30 shutter.Check out this link: [@] returned it and bought the Canon version. The Canon is not as wide angle, but a good HD lens."

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
