"This is a very nice unit with great clarity in a compact size. It comes with a carrying case but can easily fit into a pocket or belt sack. The edge to edge clarity is very good. The BAK 4 lenses do not disappoint. It's armoured coated for rough handling. The eye cups can be rolled down for the eyeglass wearer. But the eye relief is sufficient to leave the eye cups up. It took a bit of getting used to the thumb pad but once I got used to it, it is a good referrence point for quick access to the focus ring. Indoor use is limited to bright lighting. Viewing stage productions or symphonic performaces were OK. The 8X constricts the angle of view and I've found 5X or 6X better suited for these needs."
