"I would have thought the "25th Anniversary Care Bear" to Wow me off my feet, but, as you can see..it's very plain (white, some silver) and the color is quite boring. It is my understanding that the creative/designer team wanted to give this bear the "traditional" 25th Anniversary colors-SILVER! I guess the "50th Anniversary Care Bear" will feature the traditional "GOLD" when it makes it's debut in about another 25 years! :-)I think that the bear is adorable, but it looks like 12 other bears I saw in the stores, the traditional "pure, winter white holiday bears that are delivered throughout the nation on or near Christmas come a dime a dozen.I'm afraid that the "25th Anniversary Care Bear" lacks the beautiful colors of the "rainbow"!Care Bears are well-known for their beautiful array of colors and their "unique" characters.This bear is of excellent quality (Silver heart-shaped nose & 2-tiny Swarovski crystal eyes); however, it does lack "color" appeal (kids love color...it attracts them...it wows them)! In several case studies-kids have always been drawn to bright, vivid colors. That is why most toys are painted hues of bright pinks, fushias, reds, deep blues, purples, sunrise oranges & deep yellows.In my opinion this is a lovely bear, quite beautiful in its own right, but, I think it is more geared for OLDER children, teenagers and most definitely "adult" collectors!Do yourself a favor and let your little ones pick the "Care Bear" that appeals to THEM (they usually will select the colorful ones). Adults, buy this one for your own personal collection- the silver nose & 2 tiny swarovski crystals are "worth" the [$] investment...SERIOUSLY! Besides, we wouldn't want the little ones to choke of that removeable silver nose or one of those crystal eyes. BE SAFE...HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU & YOURS!"
