"I was told I "had" to buy the trim kit for this range, but when my contractor installed it we realized we didn't need it at all. (In fact it wouldn't fit in this particular installation). Discuss it with your contractor and don't assume you "must have" it. The range is awesome, but the grill requires some serious ventilation. I love it though....cooks great!"
