"I have used the Vortex Viper 10X42 for scouting and hunting, I needed a binocular that did a great job in low light conditions. I hunt in Colorado and Wyoming so it's important that I am able to glass far distances. Additionally, I needed a binocular that did not weigh me down especially when hiking above 11,000'. I could not be happier with the Vortex Viper's. They preformed great in low light conditions. They are comfortable in my hands, no accidental bumping of the focus wheel. They are crisp and the color is true to the outer rings. I have looked through the big three binoculars in real situations, not just at the store. If you were to rate the big three as a 10 then the Vortex Vipers would be a solid 8."

"I recently purchased Vortex 10 X 42 binoculars after alot of research and recommendations from so called experts. I would have spend and could have spent alot more money for the "top shelf" brands. I just always wanted premium quailty binoculars as I have already spent consideralbe money on many different brands.
I am happy to say that the Vortex Vipers I purchased should be my last pair. They easily exceeded my expectations without breaking the bank! I would recomment these to anyone no matter how much money they are willing to spend!
A great choice for anyone wanting fine quality binoculars without having to continually upgrading and waisting money in the process!
