Whirlpool Duet Sport 27" White Electric Dryer Review

"For those who give good reviews about this Whirlpool washer Duet Sport, I was wondering how long they have owned it…..I wish them the best of luck. I have searched a few websites and I found so many people with bad experience with this particular washer and I was one of them.
I thought it was my bad luck to get a ‘lemon’ washer but I guess I am not. Do NOT buy Whirlpool Duet Sport WFW8300S . I had it for a little over a year and it only took two washes to break it. Of course, I did not think to get extended warranty because I did not expect it will break so fast - so if you still want to buy it, make sure you get extended warranty with the option to replace your washer because there is a chance that it will not be fixable.
When I called Whirlpool to fix my washer, they will certainly direct you to A&E Factory Service. DO NOT let them fix your appliances. They have less than desirable service. If you can find other service companies, I strongly suggest to use them.
It has already been more than a month, from the first time I made the service call to Whirlpool and the washer is still broken. The first technician from A&E came really late and he did more talk than work. He diagnosed something is wrong with the control board , so he needed to order it. We waited for a week and it turned out that Whirlpool ordered the wrong parts two times, which delayed the service a few more weeks.
I complained to Whirlpool until I don’t know how many times I already did it. The first person who took my call easily said that A&E has 90 days to fix my washer but I don’t have 90 days without washer!! Whirlpool rep told me that she would call me back but she never did, or they will transfer me to A&E - and the company I need to talk to is Whirlpool!
If you plan on stacking the Duet Sport washer & dryer, be very aware that you will need to have the stack kit for this model. So, if one is broken (i.e.: washer) and then you want to replace it with a different brand you will have to get rid both of them.
Three parts were replaced, the washer is still not working. It keeps giving ‘F28’ error code. I lost my patience then I bought a brand new washer (not Whirlpool). I know I have spent more money but I don’t want any headache.
My experience from this is - Whirlpool (Duet Sport washer) and A&E Factory Service are not good combination.
Best of luck for your appliance hunting."
