"Open cell foam with gel is outstanding comfort. Not the excess "bulky feel" you get with other highly padded shorts. Nice 2 inches of mesh below waist band along back to shed moisture. Fabric is silky smooth, not scratchy. Leg grippers hold, but don't grab your skin. I tested the shorts out on a 70 mile ride in hot Texas sun and under overpants in Alaska in 10 degrees and they passed with flying colors. Best cycling short I have ever worn and I've tried almost all the brands. I've bought two more pairs and just ordered the capris to see if they're as good."
