"Single person household, filter lasted 4-6 weeks before it started tasting and smelling badly. The filters don't kill bacteria which builds up in the filter and leads to the smell/taste like feces literally. I think there are some health concerns that other filtered pitchers eliminate, not worth the hefty price for filtered water yet. Definately a good idea though, hope they can improve upon it."

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

"I purchased the Zero Water pitcher ten days ago, and it was really great for a week~, and it started to smell/taste terrible, like a rotten fish. The reading went up to 345 in only 10 days, for a family of 4, and I was worried that we might get sick. This is a real concern, so today I had to go back to the store to return it."
