"Bought the pitcher after seeing TV advertisement and wanted to stop having to lug back bottled water. The first time I used it, it showed 004 and the filter is supposed to be replaced at 006. However the water tasted good and looked very clear so I continued to use it. After about a week my husband commented on the taste and smell of his iced tea. When I took the reading it was in excess of 300. I dismantled it and washed everything thoroughly. This time the reading was 30 something. Continued using it and a few days later the same bad smell and taste returned. The reading was again in the high 300's. The smell was disgusting...very fishy.

I have just returned it to the store for a refund. I did call the help number supplied in the box. I was told someone would call me back to help within 48 hours but no one did."

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

"AFTER TRYING A NEW STEAM METHOD I WAS ABLE TO GET MY WELL WATER TO READ .080 FROM .587 BY BOILING WATER ON A STOVE AND CONING THE STEAM THROUGH AN ALUMINUM FUNNEL. ITS NOT ZERO WATER BUT ITS FAR BETTER THAN .587

AS A TRUE SCIENTIST IT IS VERY HARD TO FOOL ME AS I DON'T ACCEPT OPINIONS WITHOUT TRIAL AND ERROR. I HAVE ALSO APPLIED THESE PRINCIPALS IN A THREE PART SERIES ON QUANTUM MECHANICS. I AM THE MOST SKEPTICAL PERSON YOU WILL EVER MEET. I HAVE TESTED THE MORNING STAR AND THE KEY OF DAVID WITH COMPLETE SCRUTINY. GOD PROVES HIMSELF DAILY TO ME AND I AM SO GLAD HE CHOSE ME TO REVEAL THESE UNDERSTANDINGS TO MANKIND.

"I agree it's the worst gimmick on the market and you are not alone, I think the taste is so horrible i decided to go to war against this company. I replaced the filter and cleaned everything to see if I had a bad filter but it was the same. I don't even think the digital meter works right but I understand the concept. The impurity in the taste tells me the meter is rigged and it may be due to chemicals in the filter which makes the meter read zero. I tried it on chlorinated water and it read very low on the meter. I cant stand when I see the American public gets duped like this.
