"After reading reviews on the net, I was a little worried about ordering. System arrived quickly as usual, plugged it in and everything worked. Only one problem so far, when I went to create backup discs I got an error. Searched the error code on the net to learn that I needed to update the drivers for the DVD writer. Very easy to rectify for technically savvy, but could be a problem for an average user who just wants to plug it in and go. The entire package looks good (cpu, speakers, mouse and keyboard), and keyboard has a nice simple volume dial. Boys use it for games like flight simulator and it is awesome. Overall, a nice system that handles moderate gaming (good enough for almost anyone). I planned on building myself, but would have cost much more. Took about 3 weeks to receive Win 7 update, haven't installed yet.
Only complaint is that the hard drive has been partitioned into two equal sections. Doesn't make sense to me.

"Received the Acer AM5800-U5801A after months of hand-ringing and shopping. Got a very good buy through JR via Bing.
I picked this PC because it had a quick processor, extendable DDR3 memory, a reasonable graphics card with 1G memory to off-load computer memory, a well sized power supply, and I needed FireWire--not standard on most PCs. Acer also provide free upgrade to Windows-7 when available. I thought I could grow with this computer for a while.
Really happy with the product too, though I could do without the trash games and other software that came with it."
