"This herbal oil is busting to the rim with many wonderful moisturizing oils and extracts that are great for the hair and skin. It absorbs fairly quickly, and when you use a sensible application amount it doesn't leave a greasy or oily residue. It really helps combat very dry hair, and leaves the scalp feeling refreshed (less itchy) and smelling nice. I also used it on my elbows and knees and it helped soothe the itchy skin there. I found it works best as anti-frizz if you use it on damp hair, or braid the ends if you apply it to dry hair. You get a LOT of great oils for an extremely good price. Something like this in specialty boutique would cost $10-$20!Be sure that you aren't allergic to "fragrance" because this product contains it as the last ingredient and the origin of the fragrance is not identified."

Okay okay, we get it. You LOOOOOOOOVE this product.
"I'm not black, but I have very thick, dry, and frizzy Italian hair. I'd spent a lot of money in the past on hair products that CONTAIN oils, but I decided to see what would happen if I bought the oil alone. I purchased Africa's Best, and I am very pleased with how effective it is. I learned many things about its use through trial and error. Since it's so powerful, I find it important to only use the smallest amount possible. Less than a pea-sized amount is able to coat my entire hair, but any more than that can actually make my hair look greasy, a problem that I'm not used to having. I don't particularly like the way it smells, so I try not to use it regularly. It actually makes my hair smell bad more quickly, so I try to use another lotion for the scent. However, the product works beautifully. If I'm in a hurry and unable to blowdry or straighten my hair, with this oil, my hair is able to air-dry, leaving beautiful curls instead of the usual frizzy mess it naturally dries into. Be careful while traveling though, because if this bottle spills on anything, you will never be able to get it completely off. I've ruined a few pieces of clothing that way. This is very, very powerful stuff."

"My hair is usually very, very hard and dry since I don't use chemical relaxers so I was very surprised at how soft it was once I removed my micro braids after using Africa's Best Ultimate Herbal Oil with Ginseng almost every other day for over 2 months. The price is really reasonable. I used an applicator tip from another bottle to apply. It was so much more convenient to be able to apply the product directly to my scalp with my own cone-shaped tip. I didn't like that it would run behind my ears, forehead and neck. The product is very light, though, and it smells like baby powder."

"I am an African-American woman. I have naturally curly hair. I think it is important to put your race/ethnicity and what type of hair u have so viewers can have an idea of how the product would work on them compared to the people who write the reviews. ANYWAY! I really love this hair oil. Just apply directly to hair and scalp. DO NOT use too much. Use about two to three drops per section of hair or your hair will be very oily.If your hair is thick u MAY need more. This oil provides great moisture, great shine, great smell, and fights itchy scalp. I put a few drops in my palm and rub together slowly and apply to hair sections. I use it after I add heat to my hair. It fights breakage also. I really love my hair and this oil plays a big part!!!"
Pros:
"Thank you for your real & honest review on this oil! I appreciate it. I'm also using this oil and loving it as well. :) I am also black, and this seems to be working really well on my dreadlocks and reducing itching. Your review was on the money. Thanks."
"Ultimate Herbal oil is excellent for the hair.
Great product for African Americans who have
natural hair. I use it at night I soak my hair
with the oil tie it up. The next day my hair is
nice and moist. The product doesn't make your hair greasy. I also use it for my skin. I noticed that the oil doesn't keep my skin moisturized. Like I stated before very good product for the hair."

"I bought this product by chance...and am now so happy I did. It's soft, fresh, and light but hearty. I have natural Black, thick hair and I find this product great for keeping my hair smooth, soft, and shiny. It's inexpensive and most definitely one of the best products I've used. I've now shared it with my sister and niece."

Cons:
"I will be 74 this year and only ever use pure oils on my skin including my face. My skin is clear and smooth. I never use products with ingredients I can't pronounce or readily know what they are. Why put these things on your body? Even if they are expensive and overly advertised. So, this is the best of my cache of oils which include olive, hazelnut, walnut etc, etc, etc. I am a caucasion woman and am so happy that all of our women, no mater what ethnic group they are in, are able to use this product in the way that is best for them!"
Pros:
"I have struggled with growing my hair past my shoulders for a while now. Recently though, I have been doing some research on hair growth, and I've discovered that most of the ingredients used in this product does promote hair growth (like the jojoba seed oil.) I've always thought it something cost more in a store, then it was probably better for my hair... not true. Alot of the most expensive products use mineral oil, and petrolatum which coat the "pores" on your scalp... The oils in this product mosturize well."
