"Plus: Overall I think it is a great quality machine. The best I've ever used. Cons: The machine asks to be cleaned every few weeks. The filters have to be changed every 2-3 months. The tank does not fit under a regular bathroom faucet so I have to fill it in the tub...." Read Full Review

"We have had this humidifier for just under a month and are on our way to return it. First the pros: - It does a good job of raising the humidity of our room and even the entire house. - It is extremely quite. Even on the highest setting you cant really hear it. - It can do either warm or cool mist. - It warns you when the water level is too low. Now the cons: - It leaves a white dust everywhere! "I went through 3 humidifiers before finding this one. Yes, it is more expensive that most others, but it's worth it. Does everything is promises to do, doesn't require frequent cleaning if you use the heated setting, and it isn't going to stop working in a couple weeks."
"I agree wholeheartedly with the previous reviews. I have had this model for over a year and I still think about how pleased I am with this purchase each time I use it. I have gone through several different types of humidifiers over the years - but this tops them all in terms of effectiveness, noise level, options, ease of cleaning and maintenance. I prefer the cannister over filters, too."
"We have had this humidifier for just under a month and are on our way to return it.
First the pros:
- It does a good job of raising the humidity of our room and even the entire house.
- It is extremely quite. Even on the highest setting you cant really hear it.
- It can do either warm or cool mist.
- It warns you when the water level is too low.
Now the cons:
- It leaves a white dust everywhere! I had read about this problem in other reviews so we were very careful to follow the instructions. We soaked the filter prior to putting it in the humidifier and didnt use softened water and we still had a white dust problem. The humidifier was in our bedroom near our DVD player and when we pulled out one of our DVD's to see why it was skipping we saw that it was covered in white dust. I can only imagine what the inside of the player must look like! I just dusted my entire house a day and a half ago and everything is covered once again. Normally, where we live, I only need to dust every few weeks.
- It makes the entire house hazy. Not even a humid haze, just a cloudy haze in every room even though we keep the humidifier in the bedroom. I am guessing that is the troublesome white dust.
- The area in front of the humidifier was soaking wet after a few hours. We had to lay a towel down and check it often to make sure it hadnt soaked through. While I realize this is what happens when you are spraying water into the air, I had hoped that by setting it the recommended 3 feet off the ground that most of the water would go into the air not onto my carpet.
The instructions do say that if you have white dust issues to try distilled water, but we didnt feel that buying 10 gallons a week (which is how much water we went through in our climate) of distilled water was really cost effective. I thought the pros outweighed the cons, and I could handle having to dust everyday, but now that is had ruined our DVD player I have changed my mind. Back to the store it goes!"
"After having a bad experience with a $50 Holmes humidifier, I did some extra research and went with this one. It is more expensive, but well worth it. I love that I can set the humidity level I want and it shuts off when it gets there. I am a light sleeper and this has never kept me up and is pretty easy to clean and fill."
"I received this humidifier as a gift this year and couldn't be happier with the product. One of the best features is the automatic shut off. This is the Porsche of the humidifiers. You may pay more for it, but it's worth every penny."
"This humidifier rocks. It is expensive, but I think completely worth it.
I use it in my son's bedroom when he is sick or when the weather is just really dry (and it is dry a lot in San Diego (25% humidity or less sometimes).
It is quiet, easy to fill and though at first I was daunted by all of the buttons, I found they were easy to learn after one use. The warm setting heats up just enough and doesn't scare me like the cheaper humidifier I had used before, which seemed to produce scalding steam.
In fact, I'm online right now to buy another one for our bedroom."
"I bought this humidifier because of great reviews on [@] It is extremely quiet -- I have to walk up to see the vapor to see that it is actually working. I read some complaints around white dust, but, I suppose the water in NYC is actually very good water (contrary to what you may think), and I still use my Paragon filter for the water. I think it's not strong enough to sufficiently humidify the room I'm using i in (~500 Sq. Ft.), but it does improve the percentage in the room by about 7% when in use."

"I read about this product in several sites. It is not cheap, but certainly does live up to its claims. This humidifier does indeed humidify a room at a faster rate than anything I've ever used before. I have been using humidifiers for 30 years. The only issue I have is that this unit must be at least 3 feet off the floor which limits where I can place it. It will likely damage the floor otherwise."
Pros:
"Humidifier works great. It did take over 2 days to get a 3000 sq ft house from 16% relative humidity to 45%. That is amazing in itself, as these are not designed for such a large space. Easy setup, integral water deionizer, silver biocide, digital controls, etc. The reservoir is large and could be heavy for a smaller person when full. JR great price [...]"
