PuriClean II Water Filter
"The UKF8001AXX has been upgraded to the UKF9001. The UKF9001AXX filters MTBE (methyl-t-butyl ether) in addition to the contaminants filtered by the UKF8001AXX. I checked with my local water department and their testing revealed no MTBE in our water supply. "I purchased a new Whirlpool refrigerator last summer. This filter was part of the in-door water and ice dispensing system. "We were overdue for replacing our filter. Water was coming out very slow. After replacing filter, the water flowed freely. What a difference. I noticed the need to flush the system longer since water was tasting funny. That quickly went away and am enjoying great tasting water once again. "
