Andrew Lessman Iron Plus - 180 Capsules

"My iron level was down to 3. Normal is 100 or above according to my physician. I was set to receive IV transfusion of iron, which carries many risks, especially for me. "Ever since I had my children 17 years ago, I have been slightly anemic. I ordered the Iron Plus because I was constantly eating ice which is a common indicator of low iron. I started taking the capsules twice daily and within 2 weeks my extreme craving for ice was completely gone! Also, every few months the company I work for has a blood drive and all employees are encouraged to donate blood. Everytime I tried to donate I could not because my iron was to low. "Last month, I went to my Doctor who did a blood test. The results surprised him and he ordered another one in addition to a blood occult test to check for any internal bleeding as my hematocrit and hemoglobin was really low. "I needed major surgery a year ago and it could not be performed until my red blood cells were at a normal level.If the red blood cells count did not go up I will have to get a blood transfusion during surgery. I am anemic and a vegetarian. My doctor suggested iron supplement. I took this product for 2 months every day and my cell count went up. I had my surgery without a blood transfusion and continued taking the iron plus. I ran out and did not re-order BIG MISTAKE! I went to my doctor 2 weeks ago and he did a blood test, my red cell count was 31 it should be 35.I just order 3 bottles and don't plan to run out in the future. "Like Cookie, I would give this product 10 stars if I could. I am a distance runner and was diagnosed last year with 'simple' iron-deficiency anemia. I did not know Andrew even made an iron supplement, but as a long-time fan of the Andrew Lessman product line, when I stumbled across Iron Plus on the HSN website, I did not hesitate to order. After taking the product for several weeks, my hemoglobin and hematocrit levels were back up well within normal range, and I have experienced NONE of the upper- or lower-GI issues that can -- and often do -- occur with other forms of iron supplements. In short, Iron Plus gets the job done without any unpleasant side effects. Puh-leez, Andrew, do not ever even *think* about discontinuing this product!"

"I love Andrews product. I have been diagnosed with servere anemia and instucted to take Iron sulfate tabs 325 mg three times a day. I've called the help line twice because Andrews say 18 grams iron and no one could tell me the correlation between the over the counter brands that were labeled 325 mg (45 mg) and 324 mg (34 mg) and since Andrews only states 18 mg, I'm really confused because I don't want to take too much or too little but can't seem to find any answers from the AL team. It was suggested to me to take Andrew Lessman's product Iron Plus to a pharmacist and ask them ??? Does anyone else have this issue?"

"I have had a problem with anemia all of my life so I have been taking iron supplements for it. Andrew''s iron is so much easier to absorb and does not upset my stomach like other ones have and it gives me more energy. I also like the fact that it comes with vitamin C which is very essential for your body. Overall a great vitamin and will not stop taking it! I also recommend his B-12, CoQ10 and Fibermucil, they have all worked really well for me. Andrew does have the best vitamins! A little more expensive but well worth the price! Thank you Andrew!"
