"I installed the DB4 in my attic and ran 80 ft of RG6 cable to my TV. I get ABC, CBS, FOX, CW, and PBS. PBS and FOX give me the stronsgest signals at 97%, and the others are 50-60 %. Not bad considering the antenna is in my attic and I'm surrounded by mountains. Also, I noticed that althoiugh the ABC and PBS towers are located at 6 degees East of North, I had to position my antenna perpendicular to that - at near..." Read Full Review

"This antenna is not for VHF. If you go to AntennasDirect website it lists that this antenna is UHF only. With the digital transition on 2-17 stations that were broadcasting thier Digital signal on UHF bands have reverted back to VHF. This antenna does not pick them up because it is a UHF ANTENNA! The website here states that it is a VHF/UHF antenna. IT IS NOT! IT IS UHF ONLY! I recommend this only if you are try..." Read Full Review

"This antenna is remarkable. Took about 5 minutes to assemble (including opening the box). . . 10 minutes to attach to a mast and mount in my attic and, voila, I now get 32 HD channels . . . [...]. It is driving three analog TV sets without an amplifier [...] and the picture is a good if not better than from my old cable provider . . . clarity is astounding. I may never buy a true HD TV.
Only con is that the mast in the picture is not provided . . . fortunately, I had a mast from an old satellite dish.
This is well worth the money!!!!"
"We live in Maryland in the middle of the Baltimore, Annapolis, Washington, DC triangle. This antenna picks up all of the HD channels for the Baltimore, Washington DC, and local area. GREAT RECEPTION!!! I can't stress that enough. Where our house is located is kind of down behind some hills. So, I wasn't expecting much. But, I was pleasantly surprised!! With this antenna, we pick up 23 HD channels and 17 analog channels. All 23 of the HD channels are crystal clear. The analog channels don't fair so well. We bought the antenna for the HD channels. We don't care about the poor reception on the analog channels. Especially since all the channels that are broadcast in analog are also broadcast in HD. So, we watch the HD version of the channel and ignore the analog version. If you're just looking for the HD version of the basic national network stations (CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, etc.), then buy this antenna!!!! It doesn't come with a pole or a mount for your house. We just put it on a 2" by 2" piece of pressure treated wood and mounted it on the end of our privacy fence. It doesn't look any worse than those dishes people have mounted on their houses."
"when i purchased this antenna it was a shot in the dark. i went to 'antennaweb.com' and they suggested a much larger antenna w/preamp. i did not even get the db4 antenna mounted before i was getting all the stations in my area. i live about 20 miles south of tallahassee florida surrounded by pine trees. all the broadcast towers are from 30 miles to 45 miles away at differant angles. just holding the antenna above my head i was able to get cbs, nbc, abc, pbs and fox (15 channels total). if you know anything about hd, know this, dish, directv, and comcast all down convert the hd signal for bandwidth reasons. except for hddvd and bluray players, the only true hd signal you can get is from broadcast television. and boy what a beautiful picture it is. and it is all free."
"Needed to use a mount to set it up in attic, but gets great reception and all the channels I had hoped for."

"I live in Orange County and put the antenna on the roof facing Mount Wilson direction.I was quite pleased to find that the antenna provided excellent signal strength even though I split the signal to two coax lines (to 2 converters)I intend to install one at my daughters house.[...]"
Pros:
"I am about 35 miles from our local broadcast source and due to covenent restrictions needed to place this in my attic. I wasn't sure how this was going to work out. Right now, I still have the antenna setting on my entertainment center on the lower floor of my house - and haven't specifically directed the antenna at the broadcast towers. I have picked up the 5 or so channels that I was expecing about about 10 more that I wasn't. The signal comes through perfectly on all of the channels - better than some satellites and other cable lines that I have seen. At my previous home, I did not have attic space or roof access, so we have tried to go with some amplified bunny ears that constantly needed adjustment. This purchase is well worth the money!"

Cons:
"I have my antennas mounted on a pole and they work great, I live in the country probably 30 to 40 miles from my television towers. My television come in as great as they did on satellite like Dish,Direct TV.The only problem I have with it is the weather or some unknown in the air waves other than that I would recommend this to anyone who would like a good picture off a antenna. It`s the greatest antenna around buy one."
Pros:
"we are in a rural setting and use our DB4 with a splitter to get it to two rooms and recieve all possible chanels exeptionaly clear. The rabbit ears have been given away."
Pros:
"I live about 40 miles from the transmitting towers. (KC area) I have tried both indoor and outdoor antennas with limited success. With my previous Terk and RCA antennas, I was only to get about 3 or 4 channels with any kind of reliability with a signal strength of hovering around 50 %- 60 %
With the DB4, not only is my signal meter over 95% for most of the digital stations, the DB4 was the only antenna that got all 16 digital channels in my area and I was even able to pick up a few from another city that was over 70 miles away.
For most people, an antenna like the DB4 will be more effective, because it is tuned for the higher frequencies where the digital stations transmit.
You mileage may vary and some people will be unsuccessful due to terrain obstacles or other quirks of geography. I have also learned it helps if you keep your cable run short and your use of splitters to a minimum, also satellite diplexers can hurt signal strenght."
