"The unit attaches to the pull cart handle with a clamp and a set screw to keep the clamp from twisting under load. The umbrella holder has thumb screws that adjust in two axis and and thumb screw to clamp the umbrella in the holder base. The holder base is large enough to accpet most umbrellas. "

Not what I thought it would be
"This item may work well attached to a fixed location, but attaching it to a push golf cart makes it very UNstable. It is top heavy. When I push up hill it will not hold its position. It also makes the cart (Sun Mountain reasonably heavy push cart) more apt to tilt or fall as you go over a hill.
